Today, I’m sharing some very special pictures. They are of my mother’s cat, Chipper. Chip passed on some years ago, but, boy did he have a good life. Very smart. Loved to play with golf balls; hence the name. Also enjoyed watching TV, including the weather reports. And what a sweetie!

Chipper, a great orange cat, was an inside guy but he would stretch out on the foot of a bed and watch an old VCR tape about attracting and feeding Backyard Birds by Roger Tory Peterson again and again. Besides the taped birds’ sounds, there was an interesting background sound of the tape winding/unwinding that might have attracted him. He really liked the action once he realized that they were real birds landing on the feeder!! Didn’t try to touch them on the screen…simply settled in a comfortable spot and watched.
