As you may know, from time to time, we feature my sister’s dog, Meadow and put a new toy to the the Meadow chew test to see how long a toy usually described as durable or indestructible, or something along those lines, can survive Meadow’s strong teeth and enthusiastic playing.

This time around, Meadow is trying out the Chuck it! Kick Fetch ball.

The ball is made of foam and rubber and brighly colored, so it’s easy to spot when being thrown in the park or in the water. It also got pretty high customer ratings on Amazon.com for durability (a 3.8 out of 4 average). For more information, you can check it out on Amazon at this link: https://amzn.to/2SSvw8c

But, as you can see from the above pic, Meadow was pretty determined to put this ball to the Meadow Test…

The next pic shows the top of the ball after one day with Meadow. The top has suffered some damage, but it looks like there are still a few days of yummy chewiness ahead for her.

And, it also looks like she needed to take a little break and snuggle up with my nephew before more chewing. Everybody say, “Awwww!” 🙂

From time to time, we bring you segments of the Meadow Chew Test.

Like many young pups with lots of energy, Meadow is a champion chewer who can go through supposedly long lasting bones/toys, so we thought she would be a good product tester.

Whenever she tries out a new chew toy, we’ll let you know how well it stood the Meadow test.

Today, we tried out these cute, furry toys from Chewy.com. There are two pictured below, but they come in a pack of three (fox, raccoon and squirrel). You can find out more information about them here: https://www.chewy.com/zippypaws-skinny-peltz-no-stuffing/dp/131776

So far, these new toys have passed the Meadow chew test, which is pretty impressive! Maybe she isn’t feeling very destructive today or perhaps she thinks they’re too nice to chew up? Only Meadow knows for sure.

We love this pic, by the way. Meadow lined these toys up herself and seems to be quite proud of it:

In the second installment of “Meadow chews stuff up,” (you can check out the first one by clicking here) we are testing out the Nerf Dog Durable, Rugged, Interactive Squeak toy.

durable rubber interactive squeak toy

You can see Meadow was excited to get this new toy. If you look at the lower “wing,” you can see some bite marks from where she grabbed it off the table.

So, was this durable rubber toy strong enough to stand up to Meadow?

But she quickly got down to work.

Do you know of a toy that can pass the Meadow challenge? If you can find a good toy that can hold up to more than one session with Meadow, let us know!

So, we’re starting a new section for our site called Meadow Chews Stuff Up.

Why? Because, like many young pups with lots of energy, Meadow is a champion chewer who can go through supposedly long lasting bones/toys, so we thought she would be a good product tester.

Whenever she tries out a new chew toy, we’ll let you know how well it stood the Meadow test.

Our first product is this “Reinforced Chew Defense Fabric” wolf from Home Depot.

As you can see, it was a really cute toy and Meadow was instantly drawn to it.

So how did it fare? In spite of the Chew Defense fabric, within about 15 minutes, Meadow had the wolf turned inside out.
