Facebook Post Goes Viral: Unbelievably adorable boxer/lab mix still looking for forever home after year in shelter
Chicago (PRWEB)—Shena, a dog from Chicago who has been waiting for more than year for her forever home, is still seeking the perfect family with help from Invisible Fence® Brand and Animal House Shelter.
Shena is a seven-year-old, Boxer/Lab mix. Despite being victim of animal cruelty, she loves belly rubs, head pats and gives great kisses.
According to the ASPCA, over 6.5 million pets like Sheena enter animal shelters every year. Even though this number has declined in the last decade, the reality is that only 23 percent of dogs are adopted from animal shelters and humane societies.
Invisible Fence® Brand’s Forever Home Initiative
In addition to keeping over three million pets happy and safe at home over the last 45 years with their indoor and outdoor pet solutions, Invisible Fence also supports local shelters and humane societies in their effort to find pets homes. Their initiative started on their 45th Anniversary, where local-authorized dealerships across the U.S. and Canada sponsored Adoption Events in their communities.
“We saw the positive impact that animal shelters have on our communities and their dedication to helping pets,” said Ed Hoyt, Director of Invisible Fence® Brand. “That is a passion we align on and feel we can make a positive difference helping pets find and stay in their forever homes.”
To expand on their efforts, Invisible Fence uses their Facebook following as a platform to share pets, like Sheena, who are waiting to be adopted.
