American Pet Products Association (APPA) COO and Executive Vice President Andy Darmohraj recently announced that amid continued safety concerns resulting from the global pandemic, Global Pet Expo will be moving to a fully-digital experience and will take place March 24–26, 2021.
While details for the digital event, which is presented by APPA and the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA), are being finalized and will be released soon, show organizers are offering a variety of options for exhibitors.
Global Pet Expo Digital Access is open to independent retailers, distributors, mass-market buyers, and other qualified professionals (buyers).
Online registration is live, and buyers that have already successfully registered for Global Pet Expo 2021 will automatically be registered to attend the digital event.
Exhibitors can choose from three packages with opportunities for participation in Global Pet Expo Digital Access, as well as the 2022 Show. In an effort to provide exhibitors ample time to review and make an informed decision about these options, the cancellation deadline has been extended to Jan. 15, 2021.

The 2020 Show featured 1,066 exhibitors, 3,541 booths and more than 3,000 new product launches. Additionally, 6,041 pet product buyers from 78 countries attended.

It’s sad in a way because there’s nothing like visiting an expo in person, but maybe it will also allow more people to take part.
