68 percent of all U.S. households have pets. That’s 84.6 million households (out of 124.587 million) with pets, according to the U.S. Census.
Dogs have the lead as most popular pet, but cats aren’t too far behind. Here’s how our pets rank, according to the 2019-2020 APPA National Pet Owners Survey.
