WALNUT CREEK, California (24-7PressRelease) — Skunk Ready Kit announces the launch of their new e-commerce website, skunkreadykit.com.
Cassia Adler and Gary Platt, the co-owners and co-founders of Skunk Ready Kit, believe that dog owners will be grateful to have a kit at the ready in the event Fido meets up with a skunk.
Skunk Ready Kit contains pre-measured active ingredients needed to make an active solution that will clean skunk spray off your dog, leaving him or her odor-free.
According to the website, the kit also contains:
•Gloves
•Micro-fiber sponge
•Wood stirring spoon
•After Bath Oatmeal Conditioner
•Instructions for use
Skunks are prevalent in all of North America, and have increasingly infiltrated suburbs where people own properties with vegetation and small wooded areas. Food is readily available to these adaptable creatures here, as they will eat most anything, including rodents, bugs, fruit fallen from trees and dog or cat food.
“Skunks are all over the place in our neighborhood,” says Cassia Adler. “So many people have shared stories with us of their dogs getting skunked. Many dogs have been sprayed by skunks multiple times, even when on leash. You just never know which bush a skunk may be hiding in.” Cassia adds that it also always seems to happen late at night or very early in the morning.
According to statista.com for the period 2017/2018 there were 89.7 million pet dogs in the United States. Given that number of dogs and the prevalence of skunks not only in the countryside, but in urban and suburban areas as well, “it seems as if we’ve come up with something for which there is a real need,” observes Gary Platt.
Gary points out that the less time that elapses between the skunk spray, and using Skunk Ready Kit’s formula to clean off the dog, the better the result.
“Our formula actually neutralizes the pungent odor of skunk spray, then washes it away,” says Gary, “So it pays to keep a kit on hand, ready when you need it the most.”
