You had us at dogs and fried pies
The 30th Spring Daytona Turkey Run presented by White Diamond will welcome thousands of classic and custom cars, a massive swap meet, arts and crafts, music, food and drink and DOGS.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 22 at the Daytona International Speedway, and runs through Sunday, March 24.
The family-friendly event is dog-friendly too. On-leash dogs are welcome. We know this because, as you can see near the end of the video below, there are dogs. And we also are doubly sure because we emailed the event organizers and received the following response: “Yes dogs are ok.”
- Dock Dogs® aquatic canine competition. Inside the infield of the Daytona Speedway, dogs of all sizes will jump from a 40′ dock into a 40′ pool and compete in Big Air®, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve® competitions. Competition dates are March 23 and March 24.
- Hops and Hoods Beer Festival.
- Little Gobbler’s Play Zone. For the kids, there will be bouncy houses, an obstacle course, carnival games and more.
- Annual classic car parade lap around the iconic Daytona International Speedway track on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.
Spectator admission is $10 Friday and Saturday and $5 on Sunday with free parking. Children under 11 are free when accompanied by an adult. Show hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
