The other day I was at Dollar General and I saw these “Human and Dog Matching Socks” in a display of novelty gifts. They were only $5 so I grabbed them as one of the birthday gifts I plan to give to a family member.
Because they are going to be used as a gift, I can’t open the box to show pictures of the inside, but the packaging notes that there are four socks for your dog and two matching socks for a human. The socks are describes as “One size fits most” and unisex, so the fit will vary depending on the size of the human and canine duo’s feet.
I shop at about four different Dollar General locations around town depending on which way I’m heading, and I’ve only seen these at one of those four stores, so it’s not a guarantee that you’ll be able to find them at every Dollar General, but, I did a Google search and found the same socks being sold on ebay. I also found different styles of human and dog matching pet socks on websites, such as Etsy (which seems to be the best place to go if you want to ensure a customized fit since most items on Etsy are custom order) and Five Below.
I’m not sure what’s going on in the pic in the back of the package. When you look at it closely, there seem to be more dog socks than actual dogs, likely due to some weird Photoshopping, but I guess it adds to the sense of whimsy if you buy this as a gift.
